Our spring concert features new works by NYC-based composers Kenedea Lee and Shahar Regev alongside choral favorites by Vivaldi and Mozart. The program will be performed with chamber orchestra and will showcase GVCS soloists in W.A. Mozart’s powerful Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, K. 339 and Antonio Vivaldi’s Magnificat, RV 610. Don’t miss this stirring final performance of the season!

 

General seating tickets are $27 in advance and $30 at the door. A limited number of premium tickets, which guarantee reserved seats in the first five rows, are available for $42 in advance and $45 at the door.

DIALOGUES: BYRD AND THE MODERN MOTET

William Byrd’s Mass for Four Voices is a pillar of the highly contrapuntal Renaissance style. Our winter concert intersperses this piece with twentieth and twenty-first century works that carry echoes of this musical legacy. Featured composers include Mark Butler, Melanie DeMore, Sarah MacDonald, Ken Burton, Jean Berger and Florence Price.

 

SING WE NOW: A GVCS HOLIDAY CONCERT

In our newest performing home at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, come hear GVCS present Poulenc’s Four Christmas Motets alongside the moving J.S. Bach double choir motet Komm, Jesu Komm and traditional carol arrangements. Works by Chaim Parchi, Felix Mendelssohn, Hugo Chaim Adler, Willametta Spencer and Rosephanye Powell round out a program that will warm your hearts for the holiday season.
